Welcome! I am a third-year Ph.D. candidate in Economics, enrolled in a joint program between the Catholic University of Milan in Italy and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University in France. I am conducting my doctoral work under the supervision of Prof. Fabio Montobbio and Prof. Lorenzo Cassi.

My research interests lie in macro-development questions, which I examine from a long-term perspective using micro- and meso-level data. Through this approach, I have grown interested in issues related to structural change, deindustrialisation and commodity shocks. This focus has sparked an interest in Latin America.

As part of my Ph.D., I have taken up visiting positions at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa and at two institutes of the United Nations University (UNU) — UNU-MERIT in the Netherlands, and, from September 2026, UNU-WIDER in Finland. In parallel, I am working as an Associate Statistical Researcher at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

Prior to my doctoral studies, I obtained a Master's in Development Economics from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, and a Master's in Social Sciences and Economics from the Institute of Latin American Studies (Paris 3 Sorbonne-Nouvelle University).
